Bio: My name is Laura Bay, and I have been playing the piano for 31 years. I grew up in Lexington, Kentucky and attended The School For the Creative and Performing Arts (SCAPA) from the 4th to the 12th grades as a Piano Major. I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2006 with a Bachelors in Special Education and a minor in Music. I was able to take piano, organ, and voice lessons as part of my music education. I taught children with learning disabilities at Highland Elementary in Mesa, Arizona for six years. I was the school pianist - playing for assemblies, and accompanying the choir and orchestra at each of their concerts. I have a passion for music and especially the piano.
Schedule: I will be teaching Monday through Friday, 4:00-5:00pm starting in October 2022. Location: My home is located in Lexington, KY near Hamburg. Payments: Each 30 minute lesson will be $18. I expect payment in cash, check, or Venmo at the first lesson of every month. Students: I feel most comfortable teaching young beginning piano students (ages 6-12), but I am willing to teach anyone if they are excited to learn. I will expect my students to practice diligently to learn the music and develop the skills necessary to play the piano. I will be using plenty of positive reinforcement to ensure success. :) Above all, I want my students to learn to love the piano as much as I do!
I would like to take lessons...But mom has to move there first.
